We recommend performing a patch test before using any new skincare product.Patch tests are usually performed on a small, discreet area of skin — somewhere that’s not too visible but still sensitive enough to react if there’s an issue. The most common spots are:
Inner forearm – this is the most popular area because the skin is thin and reacts similarly to facial skin.
Behind the ear – a good option for people with very sensitive skin or if testing facial products.
Along the jawline or neck – ideal when testing face-specific products like serums or moisturizers.
Inside of the elbow (inner arm crease) – also works well for body products or when testing lotions.
💡 How to do it properly:
Apply a pea-sized amount of the product.
Leave it on for 24–48 hours without washing that spot.
Observe for any redness, itching, burning, or bumps.
If there’s no reaction, it’s generally safe to apply to the rest of your face or body.
